Footwear and accessories designer Sam Edelman partnered with the designer jewelry division of Almar Sales to create a jewelry line that will debut at major U.S. department stores and online beginning in September 2013.
The Sam Edelman jewelry collection, featuring rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings, was created with a modern and edgy feel to the designs and will be priced from $45 to $250, according to the company.
“As president of the newly formed designer jewelry division of Almar Sales, Sam Edelman was my first choice to launch this new venture,” said Mara Perlmutter. “The Sam Edelman brand offers a unique and understandable global fashion vision and was a natural fit to expand his classic chic and cutting edge esthetic into an iconic fashion jewelry collection.” Edelman launched outerwear and handbag collections and opened a flagship store in Soho in Manhattan and a boutique in East Hampton, Long Island, in 2012.
Edelman said “We’ve experienced a lot of exciting growth over the last 12 months. Now, with the addition of a jewelry li ne, we can continue our evolution into a complete lifestyle brand. My ultimate goal is to see our ‘Sam Girl’ dressed head to toe in our designs. The jewelry collection is the next natural extension into making that a reality.”
