Fashion Jewellery Road Show A Big Draw head of FJAS 2013

Mumbai, Dec 17 – A grand Road Show for the forthcoming Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Show (FJAS) 2013, was held on 15 December 2012 at the Indian Merchants Chamber auditorium in Mumbai.

Organized by the Imitation Jewellery Manufacturers’ Association (IJMA) in association with New Media, the Road Show was attended by a large number of IJMA members connected with both manufacturing and trading in fashion jewellery. IJMA Secretary Nagendra Mehta recalled the stupendous success of the FJAS 2012, the first edition of the event, and called upon member of the industry and trade to participate in large numbers in the Show, which will be held from 4 to 7 April 2013 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregoan (East), Mumbai. Mehta said IJMA had signed a five-year MOU with New Media, India’s largest bilateral trade magazine publishing house and event organizer with global exposure, which will surely help FJAS to establish itself as a prestigious annual international event in times to come. Shamal Pote, Group Director, New Media, who made the Road Show presentation, said the global potential for i mitation jewellery industry and trade was immense. “The Indian manufacturing and trading firms in this fast-growing sector need to think global and expand”, he said, adding , that “the FJAS 2013 will provide a great opportunity in this regard.” Pate said most of t he stalls for the forthcoming FJAS have already been booked, with the event holding bigger business potential than its previous edition. FJAS 2012 was attended by more than 8,000 visitors and participated by 135 exhibitors.

Satya Swaroop, Managing Editor of New Media, said his organization will complement IJMA’s efforts and strive to extend its expertise in opening the global avenues for the Indian fashion jewellery industry and trade.

” New Media stands committed to promoting India as a brand on the trength and global edge that the Indian craftsmen and artisans possess,” Swaroop added. IJMA President Ramesh Janani stressed the need for the fashion jewellery industry and trade to work together in order to facilitate the Association to help them to grow bigger and stronger in terms of business. IJMA and New Media are planning two more Road Shows, one schedule in Rajkot this December and the other in Ahmedabad ahead of the April event.

Jananai said, in addition to the road shows IJMA & New Media will also being carrying out a nationwide shop-to-shop connect beginning with Mumbai and followed by prime states li ke Delhi, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat etc. in the coming months ahead of FJAS event.
